Playing for Passion, Not Pressure: Tarun Sardesai’s Message to the Mysore Warriors

Spread the love

Golf is about passion, not simply about winning. As the Mysore Warriors prepared for their first season in the Mysore League, this was the main focus of Tarun Sardesai’s address to them. Tarun urged the players to rethink and rediscover the reasons for their love of golf and put the game’s enjoyment ahead of the demands of success rather than concentrating only on results.

Here’s a sneak peek into the players’ meet and how TSG was able to bring a difference in their play!

Finding the Flow State again

Tarun emphasized the Flow State as one of the main aspects. The Flow State is a golfer’s ideal state, where performance peaks organically and the game feels smooth. It is frequently lost in the chase of wins and perfection. Golfers who worry about results risk losing this condition of play, which saps the enjoyment that makes the game so fulfilling. “You won’t even realize how well you’ve played when you’re having fun on the greens,” Tarun reminded the players.

The Team Sport of Golf

Although golf is an individual sport, teamwork is crucial to collaboration. Encouraging each other throughout the game has immense value, Tarun stressed.Simple actions of players like cheering their teammates after a missed shot and displaying strong and positive body language can have a huge impact on their partner’s play.

Changing the Attitude: Success is not Everything

Tarun reminded the players that golf is more than hitting greens, making birdies, and aiming for fairways. It’s equally about accepting difficulties, such as experiencing anxiety when under pressure or overcoming obstacles when playing.

According to Tarun, winning is important, but it’s not the most important thing. The attitude a golfer brings to the course makes golf what it is. Even when faced with challenges, a cheerful  disposition  fosters good performance, resilience and guarantees a more satisfying experience.

Over its 12-year history, TSG has seen the ascent of 12 champions, all of whom have adopted the academy’s tenets of appreciating every minute of the course, fostering a positive outlook, and concentrating on enjoying the game. Speaking to the Mysore Warriors, Tarun considered how fortunate he was to be in charge of such a gifted and driven team. The players have demonstrated their enormous talent and unity through practice rounds and team-building exercises.

As the gathering ended, golfers were happy to share their experience about how TSG had enhanced their technique and philosophy of golf. In their heartfelt greetings, Tarun and team encouraged the golfers to always play with enthusiasm and positivity and to enjoy themselves while competing.

At the time of this meeting, it was good wishes from TSG to the Mysore Warriors, but at the time of completing this blog, they had won the first Mysore League. A big achievement and moment of pride for them, the team owner Cycle Agarbatti and TSG Academy. We couldn’t be more proud.
